Who We Are - Our History

A Journey of Resilience and Purpose

Wise Protective Service and More, Inc.

WPSM was started as a beacon of hope for domestic violence survivors. The Founder, Antomius Wise, was making the transition from being a NFL player to an entrepreneur. After being cut from his team, he faced personal tragedy when his fiancée cheated on him and threw him out. While staying with his legal guardians, he learned that she was being abused by her new partner.

Despite his own struggles with the career transition, Antomius remained focused on his protection company and graduate studies in Public Administration with an emphasis on Nonprofits. One day, while retrieving his belongings from his ex, he witnessed a terrifying moment when her abuser fired a gun in the air. As she pleaded for the abuser’s safety, as a trained professional, Antomius utilized his emotional intelligence not to fire back. Antomius realized the depth of her pain. He told her, “You don’t have to take this.”

Reflecting on that heartbreaking experience, Antomius was inspired by a commercial featuring President Obama that stated, “One hit is too many.” That night, he began drafting articles and bylaws to establish a nonprofit dedicated to supporting domestic violence survivors. Partnering his protection company with local shelters and police, he created a safe pathway for survivors to reclaim their lives.

Antomius believes that bringing value to society is a rewarding endeavor, and through WPSM, he is committed to shining a light of hope for those in need.

“There is no greater feeling than serving others in need”

-Akilah Wise, President
