Empowering youth and adults with financial literacy and economic education

Empowering Financial Literacy: Understanding Money Management

The ability to understand how money works is the result of financial literacy. This means understanding how money is earned, spent, invested, and saved. Financial education and literacy also entail the ability to use financial resources to make decisions.

Individuals who are financially literate should understand budget management, which includes banking, debt and credit, income taxes, budgeting, investing, and meeting daily expenses. This tool will enable individuals to become more knowledgeable about their finances to make wise money decisions.

Helping Underserved Individuals with Financial Literacy

The CEO/Founder, Antomius Wise, started Wise Tax Strategies, (WTS), an innovative counseling program under WPSM, as a solution to assist with ending domestic violence situations and other various causes. He noticed after evaluations of individuals were completed, there was a significant gap in financial literacy. This deficiency could strain relationships and potentially lead individuals back into domestic violence situations. In response, he designed a curriculum, courses, and strategies to embark on how to get rewarded by the government for bringing value to society and creating economic growth with a servant’s heart. The program proved so effective that it was offered to the public as a donation to raise funds for the organization and to include a membership. All proceeds (100%) from WTS directly support the missions of WPSM.

Given the success of this business model, we have been duplicating our efforts to provide financial literacy, empowerment, and economic education to youth and adults in the communities we serve. For our efforts, we were awarded the 2024 Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Grant from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Our objective of the program is to empower people to understand the four pillars of Financial Health (Spend, Save, Borrow, and Plan), enabling them to make better economic decisions for themselves and their families. We want to ensure that everyone has access to reliable resources to learn about finances and taxes. Building economic security and wealth for the future is our goal. In addition, we intend to protect people from financial abuse and exploitation regardless of their age, gender, race, or financial status.

WPSM has assisted countless individuals nationwide with our financial literacy initiatives. Our programs provide both virtual and in-person sessions for 12 weeks. Our one-on-one consultations, personalized financial counseling, professional networking events, panel discussions, and online courses have all proven to be successful.

LET’S TALK

Approximately $550 million is spent each year on financial education by nonprofit organizations, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This is necessary as there is a financial crisis sweeping our country.

WTS will help you understand how to get in a relationship with the government instead of trying to fight the government. When you operate within society with a servant’s heart the government will reward you with tax breaks for bringing value to society and creating economic growth. Financial literacy can be essential to those who want to get the most out of their existence while living and can lead to generational wealth.

Together, We Are Wise

Empower yourself with knowledge and let financial literacy be the key to your financial freedom and security. You owe it to yourself to be great.
