Children affected by HIV/AIDS
Supporting Children Affected By HIV and AIDS
The death of a loved one to AIDS is tragic, but the tragedy extends beyond the death. It reaches its influence to the whole family; and in the end, children who have lost their parents to the disease often are the most affected. Whether you grew up in a loving home with both parents or grew up in a home with no parents or uncaring parents, you know the importance of having someone in your life who cares about you and who cares about your success and your future.
We have children and youth that are growing up watching a parent suffer from AIDS or are growing up without a loving home because they have lost a parent due to HIV and AIDS.
We have a responsibility to respond to the children affected by HIV and AIDS. Even though they may not be our own, they are part of our community. One child losing a parent to AIDS is too many. However, even just one life changed means something.
Our hope in the end is that a child does not lose a parent. However, in the event that a child does, our non-profit supports community-based organizations, and orphan care programs that provide services to some of the most vulnerable children who have lost one or both parents.
All children deserve a future. We invite you to join in ensuring that children in our communities who live with HIV and AIDS or have lost parents to the disease
can continue to live with dignity and lead healthy lives. How do we do this? WPSM is a caring and helping hands organization promoting awareness of HIV and AIDS. We seek to work with children in partnership with shelters, groups and parents.
Are you someone living with HIV or AIDS and want to see your child grow up? Have you lost a loved one to AIDS and want to help care for the children? Wise Protective Services and More, Inc. believe that all children deserve a future. We support innovative, community-led responses that increase access to life-saving HIV treatment and care, nutritious food, and loving support for children and families living with and affected by HIV.
